“To experience and share God’s love through Jesus Christ”

Welcome to Maryborough Anglican Parish Queensland, one of the oldest parishes in Queensland with its beginnings traceable to 1847. We are a warm and welcoming community who strive to put our Christian beliefs into action.

The Parish currently has two worship centres:  St Paul’s in the heart of Maryborough City, and Christ Church in the southern suburb of Granville. Being located in the CBD, St Paul’s has a very strong community presence. The Memorial Hall fronts the main street (Adelaide Street) and is used as the venue for inter-denominational soup kitchens and breakfasts, dance and sports groups, morning teas and hall markets (Thursdays) and numerous other activities. St Paul’s also boasts a free-standing bell tower which houses 9 bells which peal out over the city before the 9am services. During school holidays the opportunity is given to tour the bell tower and ring the bells!

Some of the groups active within the parish include: MU, Cursillo, regular Bible Study Groups, a Singing Group and our campanologists (bell ringers). There is also the opportunity to serve the community by volunteering at the Monday or Friday night Soup Kitchens or Wednesday Morning Breakfast.

Due to the current health crisis Maryborough Anglican Parish is operating under government guidelines. Any enquiries, please contact Rev’d Sue Wilson: 0419 873 457 or email: sue.wilson@anglicanchurchsq.org.au.
