Anglican Board of Mission Auxiliary (ABM)

2nd Friday of the month at 9.30am at Teddington

ABM is the national mission agency of the Anglican Church of Australia working with overseas and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.

The group raises funds to support ABM’s mission work, by using members’ skills to make and sell craft and cooking at two Thursday Market stalls each year. These stalls are usually held in May and November.

The group meets on Fridays for craft activities at Jill’s residence at Teddington.

Monthly meetings are held at 9.30am on the 2nd Friday of the month, at Teddington and all are welcome to attend.

Bell Tower - Campanologists

Weekly Practice Session at St. Paul’s Bell Tower

CHIMING:
Sunday 8.00 – 9.00am Service Ringing
Thursday 9.00 – 10.00am School holidays only

PEALING:
Monday 5.30 – 7.00pm Practice

The bell tower at St. Paul’s was built in 1887 and dedicated at Easter, 1888. It is the only bell tower in Australia to have a full peal of 9 bells.

The bells are rung for Church Services, and also weddings and funerals when requested. They are also rung for community occasions such as Anzac Day and Thursday Markets during school holidays.

We have a weekly practice session to maintain and improve our bell ringing skills.

Visitors are always very welcome! When we are ringing, the bells and the ringers can be viewed from the ground floor of the tower by CCTV. (If the door is closed, please knock – loudly!)

If you are interested in learning to ring, please contact the Tower Captain for more information and to arrange a time to come and have a try at bell ringing.
